A shared opportunity from Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA) and Mrs. Toth
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts provides funding to SAMA so we can bring the AIR Program to your schools. During this pandemic, we are rearranging our guidelines to bring our creative and much needed artistic endeavors into your community and homes. We will be sharing these on our website, Facebook pages and YouTube channel. We begin next week and are trying to be mindful that we are keeping safe at home so Amy Roadman, one of our newest teaching artists, will be recycling markers into watercolors and showing some watercolor techniques….she’s also going to make some homemade brushes. We’ll be adding videos 1-2 times a week. We also have museums in Altoona, Bedford and Ligonier each with their own virtual programming that is taking place on Facebook so be sure to check out our sites and join us for some fun.
Student Art Update
We still have the art work on our walls and will begin to take it down in the next few weeks. I will contact you once this is all over and we can make arrangements for pick up. Please be patient as we figure out this new process. I created a video and posted it on our SAMA Loretto Facebook page today of all the artwork in the exhibition for those that might not have had the chance to see it.
Please share our message and follow us on Facebook to join in on the fun.
